Graham joined OHT in late 2017 to lead the growth of Ocean Harvest Technology globally. He has extensive experience in the launch of new products and technologies over the past 20 years and holds an MBA from Chicago Booth, and is a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering.
Most recently, he lead the launch of a microalgal platform for TerraVia Holdings, providing cost effective Omega 3 products for the animal feed industry. In this role he was an executive director of the Brazilian joint venture between Bunge and TerraVia Holdings, and oversaw the successful commercial launch of the products into aquaculture, companion, and production animals, including a transformation partnership with leading salmon feed company, BioMar.
Basil Kennedy has been with OHT since 2010, responsible for overseeing the activities within the organization which contribute to the effective production of goods and services.
Currently dividing his time between the Vietnamese and Irish facility, Mr Kennedy has gained extensive knowledge and experience within the seaweed industry and in the procurement of seaweeds globally.
Jason Sands Phd
Product Portfolio Manager
Jason joined OHT in April 2018 as Product Portfolio Manager for OceanFeed. In this role Jason will be responsible for generating research data and develop technical documentation to strengthen the OceanFeed brand and assist OHT’s sales and distribution teams by providing technical support for the OceanFeed product line.
Prior to Joining OHT, Jason worked as a technical consultant to the Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute in The Bahamas. This was preceded by several research and product management consulting roles in the feed additive industry. Further, he gained significant feed industry experience over more than 10 years of experience in various technical roles with Finfeeds and later Danisco Animal Nutrition. He also spent a brief period in academia as a research associate at the University of Manitoba.
Jason holds Bachelor and Master of science degrees in Animal Science from Tuskegee University and The University of Tennessee and a PhD in Animal Nutrition from Purdue University.
Senior Technical Sales Manager
Ian joined OHT in early 2018 and brings a wealth of animal production and technical experience to OHT. He graduated with an Animal Nutrition MSc from the University of Newcastle-upon Tyne which included a thesis on meat quality in swine.
Ian has over 10 year’s experience in the field of natural feed additives based on acids, essential oils and prebiotics, working in global technical sales with Anpario plc.Prior to this Ian provided Technical Service with Aviagen in the Middle East and Africa for the Ross 308 Broiler.
In the UK Ian has significant experience of poultry integrations with both Buxted Chicken a major supplier to Marks and Spencer plc and with Noble Foods, the largest egg producer.
Dan has been working with Ocean Harvest since 2014. Initially focused on the Equine market, he has collaborated with some of Ireland’s most prestigious studs and stables. Dan has now expanded the company’s credibility by endorsing some top riders on the international race, Eventing and Olympic circuit and has helped create a stronger awareness of the OceanFeed™ Equine product.
Now focused on sales throughout Europe and managing larger volume with distribution accounts, Dan has broadened his scope to accommodating all OceanFeed™ products including bovine, swine, poultry, pet, shrimp and his particular favorite, salmon since he is an avid fly-fisherman.
Declan has a BSc (Hons) in Applied Aquatic Ecology from Galway Mayo Institute of Technology in 2005. After working as a Research Assistant in the Irish Seaweed Centre in NUI Galway for 5 years, Declan joined OHT in 2011.
Declan has significant expertise and experience in the areas of hatchery production and near-shore farming of cultivated seaweed. He is responsible for the sourcing of local seaweed species through wild harvesting or using his extensive network of seaweed harvesters. His role involves working with suppliers to ensure the quality and safety of the seaweed raw materials.
Declan is also a qualified SCUBA diver and holder of powerboat qualifications.
Quality Control Specialist
Gulnur has been with OHT since the middle of 2017. She has 6 years’ experience within the Quality sector and has worked in various industries. She has a MSc. Degree an Quality Management (2013), has a Bachelor of Chemistry (2009) and also an associate degree an Laborant and Veterinary Health. (2008)
Gulnur is responsible for implementation and monitoring of Quality Management System in Ireland and supports the quality team to continually make improvements in the Vietnam facility. She also ensures sites are fully compliant with all regulatory corporate guidelines.
Office Accounts Manager
Amanda joined OHT in 2017, responsible for coordinating and supporting sales development activities, deals with customers and any query’s, general day to day running of the office by planning and implementing office systems.
Amanda has a strong background in accounts and office management from time served within an accountancy firm and auctioneering office.

Executive Assistant & Office Manager – Fareham
Charlene joined OHT in early 2018 as Executive Assistant to Graham Ellis and office manager for the new commercial offices in Fareham, Hampshire.
Over the past 15 years she has gained experience as an executive assistant to several top-level executives in the private sector which all resulted in having to adapt quickly to changes of shifting priorities and time conflicts. Primarily handling Graham’s diary and administration, Charlene also has a varied background in marketing and international event planning and holds a BSc (Hons) in Media Communications.
