Graham Ellis

Chief Executive Officer

Graham joined OHT in late 2017 to lead the growth of Ocean Harvest Technology globally. He has extensive experience in the launch of new products and technologies over the past 20 years. Most recently, he lead the launch of a microalgal platform for TerraVia Holdings, providing cost effective Omega 3 products for the animal feed industry. In this role he was an executive director of the Brazilian joint venture between Bunge and TerraVia Holdings, and oversaw the successful commercial launch of the products into aquaculture, companion, and production animals, including a transformation partnership with leading salmon feed company, BioMar.

Prior to TerraVia, Graham held a number of roles with Honeywell’s UOP, covering technology licensing, manufacturing, new product introductions, and renewable process technologies. He has an MBA from Chicago Booth, and is a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering.


Simon Faulkner

Technical Director

Dr Faulkner was awarded a Walsh fellowship to complete a PhD in collaboration with Teagasc (the state agency providing research, advisory and education in agriculture, horticulture, food and rural development in Ireland) and University College Dublin (UCD) in 2008. Before graduating from the School of Medicine, UCD in 2012, Dr Faulkner joined Ocean Harvest Technology in 2011. Dr Faulkner graduated again in 2013 with a postgraduate diploma in Management Practice from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. Dr Faulkner has significant expertise and experience in the areas of seaweed composition, sourcing, the extraction of bioactive compounds, animal health and in ensuring the quality and safety of seaweed-based feed ingredients. Dr Faulkner is responsible for a number of projects including numerous international collaborations which involve the development and testing of new seaweed-based products for the animal feed and human food sectors. Dr Faulkner is also a peer-reviewer for a number of scientific journals.


basil kennedy

Operations Director

Mr Basil Kennedy has been with OHT since 2010, responsible for overseeing the activities within the organization which contribute to the effective production of goods and services.

Currently dividing his time between the Vietnamese and Irish facility, Mr Kennedy has gained extensive knowledge and experience within the seaweed industry and in the procurement of seaweeds globally.  

Mr Kennedy has also served in a variety of warehousing and logistics positions in a diverse range of industries with extensive experience in the areas of Logistics Management, Transportation Management and Warehouse Management.
